Dancer Retreat ... August 6th (or also the 5th)

Dancers Retreat to Mt. Laguna August 6th weekend..(one hour from San Diego)..

You can just come up for just Saturday or you can tent or car camp on either or both Friday and Saturday nights.

We did get the "best" group site with electricity, water, bathrooms etc...
It's open to anyone so your welcome to bring your friends/kids/dogs as well.

It's only one hour from San Diego so it's a nice break that gives that feeling of "getting away".  Some folks also drive home through Julian on Sunday if you do decide to stay overnight and camp.

Driving Up for the Day:
If your just driving up for the day you don't need to let me know... just get the driving directions listed below and "come on down"..   Please bring something to share for the Pot Luck on Saturday night at 6pm :)

Camping Details:
We have the Yerba Santa group camp in the El Prado Section of the camp ground which can take up to 32 people.  There El Prado area has several group sites.  At our site there are many tent sites which are first come first serve.  The group site is also is next to a bigger site if needed we can spill over into it.  If you do know your going it would be good to know in case of any announcements etc...   Just leave me a voice mail at 619-857-8409 or email me at gbenusa (at) pacbell.net.  Please let me know how many people and how many tents.

What To Do:
We can do hiking and other stuff in the afternoon Saturday. Dinner and campfire at night and have a jolly good time. If you want to bring some food to share for dinner or other times that is great.

Location/Directions:
(one hour from San Diego)
Here are some directions and link to a map....
Located 50 miles east of San Diego, California. Take I-8 to Sunrise Highway Exit. Go approximately 13 miles to Laguna/El Prado Campground, just beyond the 26 mile marker if your coming from Interstate 8 going north. Turn left into the camp ground and there is a map on a big sign at the entrance of the campground.
The camp ground is across from the Sierra Club Lodge and before the Al Bahr Shriners Camp if your heading north on Sunrise Highway.

Cost:
If your just driving up for the day it's free.  If you feel a strong urge to donate $5 toward the site/wood and other costs when you get there I won't turn it down ;)...
Camping is $15/spot and it's for one or two nights...   so if you have two people in one tent... it's only $7.50 each for the weekend!!!

Showers: Yes there are showers in the camp ground if wanted :)
